Back from a holiday

June 25, 2018

Just a quick post to let you know I'm still here. Just got back from a land/sea cruise in Alaska with a stop at the end in Vancouver. I'll post about it soon, but had to share these two lovely pics.

You know wherever I go, I'll find roses and a tea room!

The roses were in Stanley Park, Vancouver, and the cakes were from a tea room, also in Vancouver.

As soon as I sort the laundry and the mail and the photos I'll be back. xo

  1. Beautiful pictures! My husband and I are planning on an Alaska cruise, probably in 2 years for our 50th wedding anniversary. So I'll definitely be looking forward to your post/s about your trip.

Welcome back and it sounds lovely!
Sorting through laundry from the time I was 'out' I'm doing for days now... Catching up on life and feeling happy with a clean house.

  6. Dearest Deborah,
No doubt you had a fabulous time up in Alaska and also exploring a bit of Vancouver Island.
Did you also manage to have tea at The Empress, Victoria, aside from the TWG Tea Salon & Boutique?
    Looking forward to your stories...
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  7. Oooh, I'm intrigued by the TWG tea sweets! When my brother (who lives in Alberta) was in Vancouver last year, he picked up a couple of the TWG teas for his tea-loving sister. Can't wait to hear more about your travels!

  14. Just finally visiting blogville and trying to catch up - where is this summer going???? Hey guess what? We're doing an Alaskan cruise soon too - how neat is that? We go to Victoria, BC too - not sure how I feel about going to the Empress Hotel for afternoon tea though - it's $120/pp.....when our ship has an exquisite tea time - lovely and butler-ed for FREE................maybe we will do a tour of the area, and then just pop in there to see it. Haven't decided yet.

Let's talk soon, wanna here all about your trip. Hugs.

  15. I LOVED this post! I first visited the Empress when I was 12, with my parents. A few years ago, my mother in law took us on an Alaskan Cruise and the tea-room in the Empress was one of the things they offered. My husband booked it for us as he knew how much I would love it. He also bought me one of the teacups from the gift shop, along with a matching tea towel. Victoria is one of my favorite places.
