Happy Thanksgiving

November 26, 2014

from Mrs. Sharp's Traditions by Sarah Ban Breathnach

For the beauty of the earth,
For the glory of the skies,
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies:
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise.

  1. What a coincidence - as I was working most of day and then on my post I was listening to a bunch of John Rutter songs, that being one of them.

I spent most of the time listening to King's College all-boys Cambridge choir. Just WOW - especially Sweeter Music - check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ucVQSJunR4

    Gives me goosebumps watching that.

  2. Hello Deborah

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
That is a beautiful thanksgiving prayer.
And I love the old fashioned turkey image - I would love to live in a little cottage like that!
Thank you for popping in to my blog - please come back Deborah and enter my Giveaway.
Enjoy sitting by the fireside on Friday.

  3. Happy Thanksgiving dear Deborah!

Sarah Ban Breathnach is one of my favorite authors. My dear husband found 'Simple Abundance' many, many years ago at a local thrift store and bought it for me because he thought it would be a book I would like. He was so right.

I want to thank you for your prayers for me and other widows and for your loving encouragement.

Have a lovely day today ~ FlowerLady
